My new sunscreen/moisturizer broke me out horribly on the chin, so I figure, why not do a couple of lip swatches today? When I first started wearing lipstick-lipstick (I wore lip glosses and tinted balms throughout college and high school), my go-to was Maybelline Touch of Spice. I wore it to interviews, to my internship, to class, etc… In hindsight, it was too dark on me. Now that I own more lipstick than I can use in a lifetime, I know what colors work for certain occasions.
I want venture out into the world of affordable/drugstore eyeshadows, and what better way to start than with Makeup Revolution’s new Slogan palettes? I ordered two of them, #Slay and No Photos Please, to test out for two weeks. I’ve never been drawn to Makeup Revolution’s eyeshadow palettes, because the color selection is either bizarre or a Naked dupe. But while browsing on ULTA, the colors of these eyeshadows suckered me into doing a haul. Let’s see if the quality holds up to MUR great color choices!
I can never have enough highlighters, so I picked up the J.Cat baked highlighter during an online ULTA haul. Baked formulas aren’t really my favorite, because in my experience, they aren’t that pigmented. And I don’t have time to wet my brush and blend in the morning. #lazygirlproblems. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised by the pigmentation of this J.Cat Beauty highlighter, and it’s a crime that I haven’t heard anyone talk about this product.
